Our founder, Alex Romo, learned the foundations of running a landscaping company from an unlikely source: behind the meat counter of a big-box retailer. While cutting grass is certainly not the same as cutting meat, Alex’s retail career instilled essential principles in his work ethic that would ultimately lay the groundwork for Green & Clean Landscaping. Alex learned important concepts about valuing customers, prioritizing safety, and ensuring quality over speed and profits.

After realizing his dream of owning his own business, with the support of his wife, Katy and son, Alex Jr, Alex decided to put his knowledge of landscaping and his hard work toward achieving this goal. As the business started to grow, the importance of providing an amazing work environment for his employees became a top priority.

Alex became involved with the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP). He gained industry knowledge and continued to grow as a leader. Our team took advantage of programs like Train-the-Trainer and annual opportunities at the GIE+ Expo to motivate employees and provide proper training for skills and development.

Alex’s energy is infectious! He treats his employees and clients like family. His expertise and commitment to outstanding customer service is unmatched!

When it comes to hardscapes, Kent Lovern is a master of his trade. With his creative and artistic design abilities and over twenty years of experience, you can be sure that Kent and his crew will make your hardscape visions a reality that will last for years to come.

Kent graduated from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro with a BFA in design. Between his own hands-on experience as well as his skills in web design, managing design teams and running his own business- you can be assured that he is the perfect person to make your hardscapes projects come to fruition with top notch service and quality.

While Kent is very detailed and organized, he has a super fun and friendly attitude. He prides himself and his team on dedication, communication, transparency, and superior quality. It’s no wonder Kent has developed and maintained a strong “repeat customer” and “word of mouth” reputation.
